this craft weekend was different from the first one because it was held at MY house.
i decided to have it here because this house is a big part of my blog and it would be easier to set up in my own home than driving everything to a seperate location.
this craft weekend was also different from the first in that everyone flew this time.
11 women flew in on friday afternoon to the wichita airport.
i loved having it here in my home!
my husband took my kids to a hotel for the weekend
but waffle stayed with us.
he was the star of the house for sure...and was loved on every waking minute.
kimberlee set up snacks near our craft space.
i personally made a big dent in the peanut butter m&ms.....and the gingersnaps too.
we had five sewing machines but i think we need some more.
with rufflers for all of them. :)
when they work....ruffler attachments are life changing!!!
not kidding.
the crafts are FUN and a big part of that fun is choosing your fabrics.
i make sure we have a BIG selection to choose from.
karen had never used a sewing machine before!
she was a super quick learner....made it look easy.
at craft weekend we will help you learn what you need for the crafts we are making.
it is a really fun part of CW for me.
the women wandered the room and were oohing and ahhing over everyone's fabric combos.
i love how they each were different.
every single one of them.
busy busy crafters.
cheesecake break!
Pam's cheesecake lives on in kansas while she is living in africa.
everyone was loving it...it is D I V I N E.
please tell me you have made it....if not....DO IT! (recipe is here)
and we can't forget the sponsor gifts!
each crafter received a totally RAD stack of goodies from very generous sponsors.
i will post about them all SOON.
most of the ladies worked late into the night on their ruffley aprons.
i finally laid down at 2:55 AM.
but at craft weekend we get to sleep in....no early morning wake ups here.
and kimberlee makes a YUMMY breakfast when we get up.
that frosting was amazing.
after breakfast we head out on a field trip to my favorite antique store.
it is the most organized antique store i have ever seen.
i shop here...... a lot. :)
i was seriously jealous of jade's quilt she found.
she found the steal of the day.
i want it.
but susan's blocks of the names of everyone in her family was a pretty big score also.
she found a fur coat and a fez too....i don't think she bought those though.
why not?
these rainbow xylophones came home with me....i think i will start collecting them.
and hang them on the wall.
rainbow happiness.
re-fueling at Sonic Drive In for happy hour on our way home.
yummm.....cranberry limeade and tater tots.
then we got right back into crafting when we got back to the house.
there was lots of texting, face-timing the kids and husbands and tech talk going on.
which is fun because among bloggers and blog readers that is totally normal to do all day long.
it is a fun subject to talk about and learn more from each other!
mexican for dinner....my favorite.
kim's corn salad is fabulous!
i could eat that everyday.
crafting ended by 2:00 AM but we kept chatting past 3....oh my.
but who wants to go to sleep when you are having such a fun time?!
these women really got along so beautifully....laughed together and were so much fun.
good morning tulips and breakfast.
more amazing food....even peach bread brought all the way from georgia!
the ruffle aprons are so fun to make.
each one is so happy and unique!
i will show all of the crafts in detail after craft weekend #3....which is in 18 short days!!
that is correct.
the ladies coming to the next CW only have to wait a few more days!
these girls were roomies in our playroom with the READ on the walls.

crazy world eh?
God knew each one He was bringing together this weekend.
He knew the women and what they needed from the break at home.
He places the gifts inside us and we get to glorify Him by using them for His Glory.
thank you Lord for ART! for creativity! for the feeling of satifaction that comes from making something with our hands!
thank you God for loving each of us so much and making each one of us unique!
i am so grateful for each group of women God brings together at CW.
and i am grateful for these two ladies.
:)
kimberlee is my CW right hand....answers all the emails, deals with all the details and cooks all the fantastic food.
ashley brings fresh creativity to the weekends and is so helpful with cleaning or driving or anywhere she is needed.
we love planning craft weekends together.
we love hosting all these wonderful women.
we can't wait to have the next one.
thank you ladies for another EXCELLENT weekend!
