yep.
i replied back to her immediately  "i love your books i love your style how in the world did you find me?!"

she wrote back.
i couldn't believe it.   (are you like me & are shocked when you get emails from "celebs"?)

she said a friend of hers sent her by the blog....and she then asked if i had her book.
well...i didn't...but i wanted it.

whenever i went to hobby lobby...that is the book i would go though again and again.
she said "can i send you one?"  
uh...yeah!

it hit home.
He saw the future.  
thank goodness.

i thought i was done with scrapbooking.
i thought i didn't care anymore.
but i know that isn't true.
i know how much i LOVE to make things with paper and photos.
i know how much my kids love their albums.
i know how i cherish my albums i have made.

i am not done.

How funny to come across this today. I actually scrapbooked for the first time in 4 1/2 yrs for myself last night! Both books look like treasures! I scrap in phases ... it seems I get some great ideas, use them up and then wait for the next light bulb to go off. I love you collect scrapbook supplies. I love the thought of completed albums. I last scrapbooked (is that a word) with friends at Maple Memories over a year ago. I have my next album all planned in my head. Colorado thru the years... When we went to Colorado this year we planned our vacation based on my scrapbook. So I have pictures of my kids in the same places as previous years. Yes, we went to The North Pole in Colorado Springs just so I can get my 20 year old daughters picture in the same place as when she was 3, 9, and 12. Amazing books!

I hate to admit this, but like you, it's been almost two years. EEK. Now when I sit down, determined to start, I become so overwhelmed, I dont know where to begin. :( This year is going to be my year! ha. I'm going to try really hard to scrapbook my photos from 2010 continually as to not get behind again.

I haven't scrapbooked in over 2 years. My oldest son is 14 and his book is done through age 4....My other son is 12 and his book is done through 6 months. They taunt me by saying, "Let's see how old I am now? Oh, still 6 months!" GUILT...GUILT....GUILT!! I guess I got "scrapbookers block", so I took up quilting. Now that's fun! But, those albums sit on the shelf just glaring at me, hoping to finally be finished.

Scrapping your Faith! I never thought about that...and i'm a worship pastor's wife! I love this concept. I desperately want this book. Sadly, because I am so busy, i've only done 1 scrapbook page in the last year and that was for Christmas. My mother-in-law didn't wants "gifts" for Christmas. She wanted stories, photos, videos, pictures from the kids and grandkids. So that is exactly what we did. My 9-year-old drew her a picture, my college boys, one wrote her a funny true story and the other made a scrapbook with his photos he took at college in San Diego and wrote out the words to a song he wrote, I made her a scrapbook page with a few memorable pics from 2009, and my husband made her a video of the church musical he did. We bought her a scrapbook, put all those goodies in there, and there is room for the rest that she received from other family members. She was overwhelmed and it felt so great to create on a family level!
