it's coming together....
but wow is it a mess to get there.
phew.
so yeah....
everything is in piles in every room.
but i keep thinking how great i will feel when craft weekend is HERE and all the piles have found their home.
the bathroom has painted walls....they are gray.
tile starts monday.
we have a contractor....lots of you have asked if we were doing the work ourselves....no.
not this project.
craig is the designated painter and demo guy and finish-upper guy.
i am le décorateur (sleepless in seattle).
our house smells like spray paint......those are all empty.
kimberlee helped me set up all day today.
we took a happy hour break....instantly refreshed.
craig has been a painting machine for me.
and talby and sean made dinner for the whole family tonight!
they made Lynette's Noodles with Ham....and it was REALLY good.
it was so helpful to me.
it is going to be an awesome week.
A W E S O M E.

yay for craft weekend! cute chair cushions and just look at those swag bags! what a blessing for those ladies.

One of these times I WILL treat myself to a craft weekend with you! And yay for gray bathrooms. Ours is finally {just about...ahem} finished now.
Next up? Painting the kitchen. The cleaners did a great job of washing all the walls down for me after the fire so now all we have to do is repair the burnt part of the wall and paint away!
Is Craig painting beds? I got to thinking: you should beg him to finish the 3rd floor off and make it a bunk room for Craft Weekends. Think of how awesome it would look with all the beds lined up with old quilts. Im sure he'd love that idea:)

Just a little jealous.
I KNOW it's going to be awesome.
And Kimberlee confirmed that she's making
the peanut butter chocolate cake.
Please take a picture for me so I can
relive it in my memory. Ha!
Have fun, friend!!

Lynette's noodles with ham are on the table, ready for dinner. Thanks for sharing the recipe. This rainy January day called for a comfort dinner. Yum!

It looks like we're moving to a new house and a giant blank slate. First step is to hire painters. I'm a bit overwhelmed because there are so many different looks you could go for. What do I want my home to look like when friends come to visit? Welcoming, bright, full of life. Then I realized, I want it to look like yours. So eclectic. I know you do a lot of thrift/antique shopping, but do you have a list of your home paint colors and where you've bought the major items in your home? I need some rockin' rugs too. Thanks!

oooh, we're just starting our bathroom remodel. Knocked down walls this weekend. And guess what visited us last night? A BAT! Yikes! And nasty. Hoping no more creatures find their way in while this project is underway. Yay for craft weekend, I dream of coming one day!

Awesome! You guys are working so hard. Can't wait to see pics of the craft weekend.
You know, on your craft weekend website, I can't seem to find a calendar or schedule of Craft Weekends. Is there something like that there?
Posted by: Aneta Kudasik | January 23, 2012 at 07:41 PM
Megan,
You always inspire me with your photos. How you think to take them from different angles and perspectives. It is one of many things of course I enjoy when I visit. Enjoy your weekend. It will be a wonderful success, as we can all see the care and attention that is going into it.
