scott does this ALL. THE. TIME.
if he is not bouncing a basketball....he is spinning it.
he threw down a challenge to his dad "i can spin it way longer than you can!"
he made it for one minute.
then it was dad's turn....
scott won.
but....i think dad was going easy on him.
every great once in a while he does that....

love! way to capture such a fun and specific time in his life! can't wait to hear about his basketball scholarship in a couple years ;)

Hehe. What a nice dad! And very impressive, Scott. I couldn't do that for one second! Maybe I could beat him in jumping rope...

Brings back memories of my youngest (who is now 29!) ... if he wasn't actually outside playing b-ball, he was dribbling and spinning the ball inside or making imaginary baskets as he leapt down the hallway towards his room. Basketball was his first love! I can still hear me saying "Philip Andrew, enough already!" ... I wouldn't take anything for those moments & that sweet boy ... thanks for sharing!

Makes me wonder what our house would have been like with a few boys in it. With The Agronomist would have had the chance. Although it would have had something to do with shooting a puck : )
This is the first time I've seen that circular window in your pictures, that at least I've noticed. It is amazing. Did you have it made?

I love how involved Craig is with your kids. So many times you see people who were in the same situation you guys were in when you had lauren and they dont make it and even more the men arent involved. I love how much Craig does with your kids and how after all this time you guys still love eachother so much. You both are setting great examples for your kids.

did you guys ever watch Pistol Pete? your son would be impressed:)

I love the tongue in cheek concentration. One day, Craig. One day. And the day gets closer each day. Scott will compete and win and the baton will be passed. :)

Love it!
Doesn't it just make your heart smile to see the two of them having a little friendly competition?
:)
Happy Thursday... the weekend is ALMOST here!

That is really cool! Oh and last weekend when my beloved Cyclones beat your Jayhawks I thought of your family....I figured there were a few people who weren't too happy! :)

this made me smile. my son always wants to race his dad. 99% of the time my husband wins, but when he lets my 10 year old win ... his grin lasts for days. yay for dads and the impact they have on our kids ...

I have one of those basketball obsessed boys at my house too. He even has it in his hand while he watches television in the evenings. There must be some magic powers in there we moms don't know about.

Hope this isn't weird, but your husband is a cutey. I'm sure you know that. Unless he's being annoying.

My boys constantly make the motion of shooting hoops everywhere they go.....down the hall, at the bus stop, walking into a store. You'd think they'd get tired of it by now but they never stop!! Come baseball season, they'll be "swinging" all the time.
