whatever

long weekend

we relaxed.
it was really nice.  
last night as i drifted in and out of that first sleep i said to craig "thank you for just hanging out this weekend"
i loved just being together and being low key.


 
thank you $40 fire pit from home depot 5 years ago for bringing tradition and comfort to our family.


 

 








thanks groupon for an awesome 2 hours of fun.

thanks coffee for all you do for me.



thanks craig for putting up the pool.....it is my summer sanity.


thank you pasta and sauce for making my stomach so happy.
 


 

thank you dairy queen for helping dry annie's tears from being left out and heart broken.
and thank you to the two 80 year old men talking so loudly to each other in the booth next to us for helping me remember Memorial Day is more than a day off.  
they were talking about riding the train with Hoover to the troops!!
and seeing Roosevelt!
it was awesome to eavesdrop.  :)


 
loved it.

we are making the summer list TODAY.
i meant to do it all weekend but just didn't.
so today's the day.

i just go and browse.

is there a benefit to following someone?  
can you see more than what is there when you look at someone's page?

i know that i could pin and like and follow....but for now...i just like to look.

saturday i peeked in on the birds.

they had significantly grown.

and on sunday....

they were gone.

i found this craft on pinterest and knew it was happening at our house.

we already had the gift boxes.  
they were from World Market.
i am sure you can find them at craft stores or in the gift bag or mailing sections of target or walmart?
maybe.



the feathers on the stomach and the eye balls were made from a circle punch.
(we used a creative memories punch)





we used a low temp hot glue gun to have it go quickly.
and i see the glue strings on all of them....i don't know if we took those off or not before they gave them.
oh well.

the wings and feet were oval shapes we just free hand cut.

we filled them with tissue paper and a gift card for our teachers.
sean, talby and annie each made them and were VERY proud to give them away.
